Loved the view of Mt Fuji overseeing the lake from our room Also loved the Japanese-style room, and the dinner and breakfast we availed of were great. The onsens were also a pleasant experience to try, and the staff were very attentive and can speak English well. We also appreciated the shuttle back to the station.

Apart from the bed, there is a large living area connecting with the outdoor patio where you can enjoy breakfast (delivered to the door in a wooden basket!) with direct views of Mount Fuji. Every “ room” is in reality a little villa exclusively to yourselves and it’s really good value for money. The location is easy for travellers not driving like us. It’s a 5-minute walk from Kawaguchi station (main train station in the area). The okonomiyaki restaurant literally right opposite is very delicious. There’s on-site self-service laundry. Staff is very friendly and helpful 👍🏻
