Such a nice stay here. The lobby had attractive lighting and was full of plantlife. We would have walked in and checked the place out even if we were just passing by. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and their drinks were well made and very cheap for our standards in the US. The room was big and the shower felt luxurious.

I booked the hotel based on the good reviews, and it really didn't disappoint me . The staff were very polite and helpful going above and beyond to help us during our stay of 4 nights . Location is very good with a lot of good restaurant qithin walkining distance . Gion district and nishiki market are just nearby . Kyoto station is 5 min by taxi and 20 min by walking . There's a soba restaurant a few steps away from the hotel recommended by the staff. It was really good, and you should really try if you're soba lover . The hotels provide basic skin care at the reception, which is amazing. We love our stay in this hotel and will definitely come back if we visit again .

Everything here was beyond our expectation! Firstly, the location was so good; when we exhausted from walking around Teramachi/ Kawaramachi area, we just walked back to have some rest at the hotel before the 2nd or 3rd round each day. Secondly, the staff; I mean every staff, was very professional, helpful, and genuinely friendly. Thirdly, the facilities, especially the public baths (Niwa no Yu & Shijo Kawaramachi no Yu) were truely heaven like what they claimed for, also, their rooftop was perfect for both having breakfast or chill out with drinks. Fourth, F&B, their breakfast bento was nice and plenty of welcome drink (depends on number of your stays) We're looking forward for our next year trip in which if we come to Kyoto again, defenitely gonna stay here :)

Firstly, the staff were incredible and really easy to deal with. The room was lovely and had more than enough space for the two of us. Location was great, a 5min walk to the busy shopping streets one way and 5min to the subway the other. All while feeling unique and isolated from the crowds. Loved our stay here.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple

The Kiyomizu-dera – or Pure Water – Temple is a Kyoto must-see. Pilgrims have been flocking to this sacred site since the 8th century, so the steep path up is lined with souvenir stalls and snack stands. In spring, it looks out over a sea of pink cherry blossom, while autumn provides picture-perfect panoramas of flame-coloured maple trees.

On the way to the temple entrance there are a lot of shops...

On the way to the temple entrance there are a lot of shops selling local famous foods (like dango, mochi, matcha flavoured drinks and icecreams) and cute souvenirs. Most of these places accept only cash - so keep that handy if you want to buy. If you are a vegetarian, there are 1-2 restaurants serving vegan dishes, but they close lunch by 3 pm. So try to plan such that you finish your meal within that time.

Like anyone will tell you, make sure you go EARLY so you can beat the crowds. I went at about 8 or 9 AM just before a really big tourist crowd came in and I was able to see the temple and walk around fine. It is beautiful and you can get really nice views of the whole city from up there.

If you can visit the temple in June or Autumn, you'll have really great views. Always respect the temple surroundings and be silent. Other than that, you can enjoy a wonderful place made entirely without any nails. Also, you can walk the path next to the temple to get other unique views.

best to wear comfortable shoes as this is a bit of hike. best to approach this place from yazaka area the go thru the park towards ninenzaka and sanenzaka. these two streets have lots of small traditional shops which you can also explore. we had lunch in sannenzaka area and a tea experience is also worth around that place. so many snack area along the way and many visitors wear kimonos. best to visit during autumn or spring season

A super clean, efficient, comfortable and well-located hotel just a 2 min walk from Shichijo station and a 20-minute walk to Kyoto central station. It is also a walking distance to many attractions - Kiyomizu-dera temple, Gion district, Nishiki market. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards and equipped you everything you need. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel was offered good breakfast and all drinks an dsnacks were free of charge throughout the day.
