Firstly the room is not that expensive. We love the room which was Mt Fuji facing. The room is so spacious that you could have at least 5 ppl to live in. The onsen can be used by yourself by locking the door (the personnel said). It is a beautiful place.

For the best vistas, you can stand at Panorama Dai viewpoint – where you’ll be able to catch Diamond Fuji, the moment when the setting sun appears to sit atop the mountain like a gemstone. The hotel was so close to mount fuji that I had several walks through the forrest nearby (which was magical on its own) and I could see the mountain very clearly. Plus its a 7 minute walk from lake Yamanakako. The hotel itself is very cozy and warm, the facilities were clean and comfortable to use. The staff was very kind and helpful, I sent my luggage to be delivered but it didnt arrive when it was suppose to and the staff took care of it even without me asking them to, I just asked if my bag has arrived already.

Honestly, my favourite Hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everything is very clean and modern, private saunas and plunge baths in rooms, adjustable room lighting, fantastic views of Mt Fuji (if you book a room facing that way) etc. Possibly the best thing is the staff, who are incredibly accommodating and just some of the nicest people you are ever likely to meet! Only downside is that I didn’t stay a bit longer and explore Lake Yamanaka…

Excellent and tranquil location. Short walk to Lake Yamanakako. Very clean hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Onsen was a great relaxing experience.

Fantastic views of Mt Fuji on one side of the hotel, and Lake Yamanaka on the other. This is the quieter of the main Fuji lakes. You can step directly out of the hotel to walk/bike around the lake, or hire a peddle-swan to venture out onto the water. The hotel has a few nice extra facilities, like a laundry and guest lounge.

Amazing Japanese-style hotel, just 5 minutes walk from Lake Yamanakako. Great for catching the sunrise. Staff were super friendly and even drove us to and from the nearby onsen. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Highly recommended!

What I liked the most were the staff, the location and the Japanese breakfast. I had a wonderful view of Lake Yamanaka from my hotel room, which was a treat. The Japanese breakfast at Sun Plaza is the best I've had!

We visited last month {October} and were very pleased with this hotel. It is right by the bus stop, so getting to the hotel and also around lake Yamanakako was very easy. The staff that greeted us were so friendly and helpful. I have a large tattoo on my arm, but this was no problem for the hotel’s onsen. We stayed in a Japanese style room on futons, and had complimentary yukatas to wear. The kids {and I} loved this experience. Oh, there’s also a 7-11 very close by which was super handy!

The location is very good, very close to Lake Yamanaka, which can be reached in 2 minutes by bike. Guests staying here can rent cheap bicycles. The hotel is very clean, the hotel staff speaks great English, is very enthusiastic, and can patiently answer guests' questions. And the accommodation price here is not expensive.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Hotel surrounded by beautiful trees and lake Yamanakako with mount Fuji across the road. Really enjoyed relaxing in the onsen. There is a bar for drinks and all you can eat buffet with a large variety of tasty food. Highly recommend.
