Incredible! This place is a hidden gem in Sigiriya, we wanted to stay longer but it was fully booked. The room had everything you need, very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is amazing and the view is fantastic. Don’t miss your chance, it’s a rare find.

Our 3 days/2 nights in Il Frangipane have been amazing! The facility is a little tropical paradise, well maintained and well designed: perfect for some relaxing days. The room is really big, clean and with modern furniture, as the bathroom. The breakfast is big, a good mix between English and srilankan breakfast. Their best strength is the always kind and helpful staff! They’ll always help you with a big smile! Thank you for those amazing days!

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Sri Lanka! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and manager The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The second day we did a village trekking which was guided by sanath, who works as a waiter in the hotel as well. Sanath is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking through the village. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the trekking. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the manager Rosh who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality.

We stayed in the treehouse and it was one of the best experiences of our lives. Such a unique stay, we really couldn’t fault it. The room was nice and cool with a fan and mosquito net, there were plenty plugs and windows around the room for us to look out and feel we were in the middle of the jungle! We loved hearing all the animals in the morning and the peacock that appeared each morning right outside. The hosts couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a comfortable stay - thanks so much for a wonderful, memorable stay. Also, fabulous breakfast!

Great place to stay! Sunrise Cottage is beautifully located, surrounded by big green plants and only a short Tuk Tuk ride away to start hiking on the Lion's Rock. Restaurants etc. are in walking distance. The host is super attentative and nice and helps with whatever you need. He gave us tips, offered rides and organized a driver to our next destination. Also, he provided a great breakfast every morning. Thank you for the stay!

They are a new hotel i was maybe their 5 th guest. It is pretty close to sigriya. The hotel had great view of sigriya rock from its breakfast place. It had a warm pool which was great after the lions rock hike. Most importantly the stuffs were welcoming and always ready to help us with anything with a smile. Their fresh juices and breakfast sweets are to die for. One important thing since they are new so they dont accept credit card still so please carry LKR.

Good hike with great all round views from the top.

Good hike with great all round views from the top. Wear comfortable footwear, light breathable clothes as this is a decent hike. Carry water to stay hydrated. Couple of portions are quite windy, enjoy the breeze after the hike. SAARC members, remember to carry your passports for some discount on entrance fee.

Leave accommodation before breakfast to beat the crowds and busloads of visitors. You will have a safer and timelier climb to the top and down again. You can eat after. It was beautiful to see the sunrise and to climb before it got too hot. Make sure to visit the grounds and not just climb and leave.

Watching the sunset from Sigiriya was truly unforgettable. As the sun dipped low behind the distant hills, the entire landscape transformed into a canvas of gold, orange, and soft pinks. The ancient rock fortress, already majestic by day, took on a mystical glow during golden hour.

Great climb and quite fun views from the top.

Great climb and quite fun views from the top. Keep three hours on hand as I recommend people to climb slowly with lot of breaks and keep some time to rest, recuperarte and absorb the views from the top.

Fabulous trip to see Sigiriya - we booked our own tuk tuk. Be aware that you probably wont 'finish' at the same car park where you start - you are funnelled past the gift shops to a different car park so we had to find our way back to our driver. Also considering that most of the dogs we saw in SL were well fed by locals we saw too many v thin dogs here, which was horrid considering the cost of the ticket... Make sure you go early if possible- large crowds when we were coming out at 8:30am so would have made for a v v slow ascent. If you go early it is lovely and quiet.

We had some amazing days here. Everything was at a top level. The food was great, the rooms were clean and Mr. Dinusha, the owner of this place did his best for us to have the most amazing memories from Sigiriya. He arranged everything for us, transportation, safari and we saw lot of elephants, trip to Sigiriya rock and also we received some beautiful gifts when we left the hotel.

This place is extremely beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing stay. It’s located near a lovely lake from which you can see the Sigiriya Rock, creating a truly unique environment. Dilshan, the owner of this hotel, is very friendly and supportive. He gave us great suggestions about things to do during our stay. The room was also very clean, well organized, and equipped with all the necessary facilities. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sigiriya. 🔥

We stayed at this hotel very close to Sigiriya. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable, especially because it had a Sri Lankan touch with coconut roti and pancakes. The location is very convenient for visiting Sigiriya Rock. The host also helped us arrange a private jeep safari, which was a memorable experience. Overall, a good place to stay if you want to explore Sigiriya and the surrounding area.

I had a wonderful stay at Water Garden Sigiriya. The traditional Sri Lankan meals were absolutely delicious and gave me a true taste of the local culture. The service from the hotel staff was attentive and professional, making me feel very welcome throughout my stay. The swimming pool was simply perfect for relaxing, and the view of Sigiriya Rock from the property was breathtaking. It created a serene and unforgettable atmosphere. Overall, it was a luxurious and memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

Very nice view of the Sigiriya Rock and spacious balcony + working area. It is very interesting to find a Japanese run hotel along the village of Sigiriya. Welcome drink is served, as well very abundant breakfast. The room is very spacious too with outdoor balcony. Love the Japanese toilet :) location near to Pidurangala Rock, best sunset view in Sri Lanka

Roo Mansala is the best hotel we visited in Sri Lanka. We had a villa on the upper floor overlooking the Pidurangala and Sigiriya rocks. The pool is lovely and they also have an upper observation deck where you can see the nearby lake and beautiful birds. The food is delicious and the staff are all very helpful and caring. They even organised our last dinner on the upper deck which was a real treat. Highly recommended!
