The location is great to the waterfront and downtown. The room we had was amazing. Big, modern with lots of space and having a record player in the room was a great touch. Bathroom huge and added bonus of a bath well received. The staff are very helpful and breakfast is ample and delicious. We will be back.

Lovely old funicular railway takes you up to the botanical...

Lovely old funicular railway takes you up to the botanical gardens and space place observatory. Cafe at the top. I booked a return as my visit was in the evening, but had a wander in the botanical gardens. I would get a ticket to the top station then walk back down through the beautiful gardens.

So cool, short trip to the top but great ride, views out...

So cool, short trip to the top but great ride, views out over the cityscape to harbour are outsranding, cafe at top very popular and very busy, Cable Car Museum worth a look, also while you're up there, check out the Planetarium, not to be missed, and if you're into Gardens, take a stroll around the Botanical Gardens while you're there

A great tourist attraction for Wellington and fun for...

A great tourist attraction for Wellington and fun for children to go on. Take a ride from Lambton Quay and then walk back down through the Botanical Garden, stop at the Lady Norward Rose Garden and have a coffee at "Picnic" and the walk back to town through the old Bolton Street cemetry which graves of early settlers or wander through Thorndon.

Amazing location right in the heart of Lambton Quay and a short stroll from the Wellington Cable car. Very quiet, clean, and although compact was well equipped, had full kitchen amenities, microwave, washer/dryer combo and a good sized bathroom. The mattress it was perfectly firm but not hard. We arrived after check in hours with no hassle. Also good security as needed the guest card to enter the building during the day.
