The interior is decorated with classic, and has many beautiful paintings. The room is absolutely tidy and comfortable, along with compliments like delicious potato chips and T2 tea, which is very classic and warming. Also, there is hairdryer, slippers and supplements which is very nice. The reception is friendly and helpful, especially lovely doggy Lola, making the stay a unique experience!

The staff was amazing! All had smiles and helped out considerably with any questions and/or requests. The housekeeping people were all incredible! The place was very clean, big size rooms and very central to walk around the heritage, the octagon, and street art walks.

Loved our stay here, great location and beautiful room! We stayed over Christmas so there was not much staff at the hotel but all our short term requests where answered and handled immediately nonetheless. I would definitely stay here again

Nothing here, but a 1990s art gallery, permanently closed pubs and offices, some crumbling 1920s department stores, Scotch churches which are closed and plain anyway. Plus its unsafe at night due to "colourful" deros and homeless

Unfortunately, I could not go to my favourite Pub and Restaurant The Craig. There was absolutely no parking in the area at all and I had to give up after the 6th drive around the block for the same outcome. It was raining and would have been a 20-30 mins walk alone and in darkness to get to and from the Octagon.

Had dinner at the Creig (Irish bar), beautiful hotpot pie and veges, fire was on staff were great. Recommend this place for its atmosphere and meals. The Octagon seemed to have a few eating places that had closed down. Found a few cafes near the Octagon (in the side streets) that had more character.

Location was amazing - right by the Octagon. Everything was very clean. I had a single room with an ensuite which was super comfortable. Great value for money. i was a solo traveller and there was a lounge where you could meet other people.

Everything. We loved our stay at Bluestone on George. You can tell its owner operated by the outstanding presentation and cleanliness. We couldn’t help but notice how hard the owners work around the property. Keeping the accommodations and grounds in fastidious condition. We couldn’t recommend this accommodation highly enough. Also, so convenient. We walked to the Octagon area for shopping and dinner.

Walking distance to the Octagon, which had a really good vibe. Also an easy walk to train station and museum. The staff were friendly and efficient, and room service meals were delivered quickly and with a smile. Plenty of space in the room and the beds were comfortable.

The apartment was beautiful and well equipped with everything you might need during your stay and more. Very thoughtfully laid out. The view over Queens Gardens was lovely also, as was the proximity to several museums, the train station, and the Octagon. Perfectly located for a weekend away. The hosts were also fantastic- I needed somewhere to prepare for an afternoon event on my day of arrival and they were very helpful in arranging for me to get in early!

Location! Couldn't be more central being only about 1 minute walk from the The Octagon. The apartment is over the road from Woolworths and being in the centre of town, there are endless options for eateries, all within walking distance. A very spacious apartment which could comfortably fit 2 couples as there's 2 separate bathrooms.

Anabel and Matt have created a fabulously elegant boutique hotel in a beautiful heritage building on the hills of Dunedin, not 5 minutes walk from the Octagon! Every room has been tastefully decorated with gorgeous furnishings, fine linens and antiques and the hosts could not be more warm or welcoming. Breakfasts in the sunny dining room with views to the harbour were a highlight, as were the beautiful gardens! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Dunedin!

Very friendly staff, excellent location as so central to the Octagon, railway station & hospital. We would definitely stay again. I thought there was washer/drier in the apartment but our studio didn't have this.

The service was superb at the front desk and the room was clean and quiet. The Hotel is very well located in central Dunedin. The only problem was not the Hotels problem but most of the Restaurant and Cafes in the Octagon were closed on Monday which was when we were in Dunedin
