Mandarin Oriental, Doha 21-24/11/2024 I and my wife stayed in Premier Room King. Amazingly luxurious, and spacious with a practical design and easy use of all accessories. Clean rooms and amazing Bathrooms. Excellent Location. The staff was exceptional, in particular, Mr. MILAN (at the reception), who was taking care of us during Check-in. He was professional, attentive, very helpful, and made us feel valued. I highly recommend this hotel to all of my knowings. I will rebook at this hotel again.

It was family friendly, with lots of places to eat to suit...

It was family friendly, with lots of places to eat to suit every budget. Maybe avoid Fridays as a lot of stalls are closed for religious reasons until later in the day. If you’re not staying close by, a trip on the Metro to Souq Waqif station will get you there easily.

Wear something comfortable and conversative, dress code is important. Bargain the prices and enjoy the simple and authentic Arabic souq. This is the place to get oil based perfumes at a fraction of the Mall cost, there is a wide range of Abayas abd other traditional attire,you will be surprised at the variety.....Happy exploring!

A lovely and lively atmosphere in the evening. A choice of shops selling everything you’d expect to see in a typical bazaar. A mix of cultures bought together in one place. Be ready to barter on prices!

This hotel is based right in the center.

This hotel is based right in the center. Perfect location if you want to experience the traditional night life.Bustling with people after 5pm, safest place to be. Good food. Metro 5 mins🚶‍♂️‍➡️ some local malls. The hotel itself is clean the staff are amazingly freindly and very helpful. Beds very comfortable. Clean rooms. 👌Excellent service. I would definitely recomend this hotel fir first time visitors.

The traditional Souq is truly remarkable, with its captivating architecture and a plethora of traditional restaurants and cafes. Visitors can explore an array of souvenirs, artifacts, perfumes, bakhoor, fabrics, and traditional customs, as well as gold jewelry and accessories, rugs, and textiles from various countries. It's worth noting that not all items are Qatari-made products. However, prices tend to be high and not fixed; some shops may even sell the same items at double the price. While some areas are equipped with air conditioning, others are not, making it challenging to wander around, especially in the summer months.

A unique market which is clearly both a tourist attraction...

A unique market which is clearly both a tourist attraction and a place of communal gatherings for locals. There is an abundance of merchandise of all descriptions and predilections, assuring each a measure of satisfaction. Because of the variety of both products and prices, it is worthwhile setting aside time to explore. Compared to many other Middle Eastern Markets, hawking here is more “polite” and makes for a more pleasurable experience rather than feeling pressured into making a hasty on the spot decisions. Aside from the merchandise, there is an abundance of places to both dine and relax, which appears to be a considerable pastime for the majority who visit this wonderful location.

Location is close to the Souq Waqif and metro station. There is also a market and exchange office in front of the hotel. The room is big, clean and the bed is comfortable. Also the staff is helpful. Breakfast is good. I can recommend this hotel to the other traveller.

The hotel staff, especially concierge were very friendly and courteous. The hotel is aesthetically pleasing and the room was spacious. The hotel is well located, close to the corniche, souq waqif and museums (all within walking distance). The hotel also accommodated a late check out which was much appreciated.

The hotel is excellent. It is located in Doha city centre near the old city and market (Souq Waqif). At walking distance there are many restaurants and bars. It is less than 20 minutes driving to the airport, which is also convenient. I got an upgrade for my room and the room I stayed was huge and extremely comfortable. It has a good ratio quality/price.

We were upgraded to the suite and it was huge. The location is brilliant. You can walk to the National Museum of Doha, the Islamic Museum of Arts, the Corniche and Souq Waqif. The breakfast was okay. Not too much variety for a 5 star hotel but ok.

We only needed the room for an overnight stay to avoid sleeping in the Qatar airport. It definitely served its purpose. It gave us the opportunity to stretch out, shower and store the bags. The location was a perfect- 3 mins from the Souq Waqif. We took a bus tour and hopped off at the Souq. Too a uber to the hotel. The roof top bar is very nice; great view of the city, service and food was excellent.
