A very nice place to stay in the mountains. Extremely close by car to Lake Balea (about 15-20 min drive) and the highest part of Transfagarasan. Fresh air, comfortable beds and a peaceful atmosphere. There is a relatively large parking lot, sufficient for all guests. The hotel also has a restaurant where you can have dinner or lunch.

Hotel Posada Vidraru is set 200 metres from the Vidraru Dam on Arges River, and features a restaurant with Romanian and international cuisine. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels....

Such a quiet and unique location off the Transfagarasan road - which is a great place to see some European Brown Bears. Staff were lovely and friendly (especially the dogs) - the room was on the smaller side, but super comfortable and well designed - the bathroom especially! We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the forest.

Surrounders!!! If you want living among real forest and beautiful mountains, near to waterfall, get awesome service and test delishies local cousine- welcome to Hotel Paraul Capra. For my opinion this is the best location for living on Transfagaras Way.
