The staff's attention was very good and attentive; they helped us with bus reservations, currency exchange, and getting a SIM card, which made the trip much easier. The room was very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning that was much appreciated for sleeping. Good breakfast and a very good location—close to the center but not in the noisiest areas, making it more peaceful. They also give you recommendations on where to eat and where to go. Totally recommended.

The staff are the best part of this property. They genuinely care about you as a guest and will accomodate your requests to the best of their ability. They even woke up at 4:45AM for the taxi to help make sure my friends and I made it to the airport on time! Room is spacious and has a rustic but good design. It could use a cosmetic update but honestly it's totally fine for the price.

This is an elegant building to see in passing but not worth...

This is an elegant building to see in passing but not worth making a special journey to unless you intend watching a performance there. There are equally elegant if smaller buildings especially in the French Quarter to see of all ages and degrees of shabbiness. Remember when walking around the old quarter of Hanoi to look up as you are avoiding getting run over, to see the real Hanoi above the street level and marvel at the styles, building hot-potch and evidence of former if unregulated buildings and wonder how they manage to stay up.

Ng House was a little gem for those who don’t want hotel amenities and prefer to have a private space with everything needed to cook, clean, sleep and have both cosy indoor and outdoor space. 15 mins walk to the Hanoi Opera house - location was great for us - with most things not too far away.
