We initially booked just one night here, but it felt like a place we could stay forever. This cozy retreat is set high in the mountains, offering breathtaking views of San José. There is a small but very inviting pool, stunning rooms that are spacious with comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, and small yet well-equipped kitchens with everything you need. The staff at this resort are incredibly friendly. Breakfast is not included in the price, but it can be ordered for an additional fee. The restaurant also offers a fantastic view. You can order massage or facial in their spa but we did not have time for it.

Boasting a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the garden, Bungalows Sanlaz is set in Barrio Jesús and offers accommodation with free WiFi.

Tacacori EcoLodge is set in the Alajuela Hills, 15 minutes' drive from Juan Santamaría Internatrional Airport and only at 30 minutes' drive from Poas Volcano site.

Everything. From the incredibly committed amd passionate host to the amazing room in an amazing garden.

With mountain views, Chayote Lodge is located in Zarcero and has a restaurant, a concierge service, bar, garden and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge.

Great big rooms located beautifully. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. The outdoor shower in the room was so nice. We loved it.
