This place is amazing, no doubt. Its in the middle of santa teresa only 5 minutes from the beacj. Good vibes, Jon himself and his mother are amazing, kind and superhelpful. They helped us book shuttles, taxis and everything. They hooked us up with a great surfteacher namned Dani, if youre gonba take surfclasses do it with Dani! Hes a five star teacher. There are lots of good space for hangout and nice vibes on the evenings. We lived in a private room in a three-stored ”bungalow” which were supercozy. Own toilet and shower, it was clean and wellworkning. No AC but a fan that we kept going at night, this was enough for us. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. Go here!

This was hands down the best accommodation we stayed at in Costa Rica. It is in the middle of the forest, but there were no mosquitoes. The grounds and lodges are kept meticulously clean and the gardens around the property are stunning. The lodge was very spacious, having two bedrooms, a kitchen/living room and a bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped and we also used the terrace outside to have our breakfasts, often watched over by the local iguanas and birds. There is no TV in the lodge, but we actually found that a plus. The lodge had everything we needed and the place has a very special feel. On arrival we were greeted with a freshly baked bread. The swimming pool was very clean and great for a refreshing splash after a day out fand about. The owner was a genuinely nice person, very friendly, professional and very helpful with any queries we had, as well as recommending things to do in the vicinity. We walked over to the island cemetery at low tide and our favourite beach was Play las Manchas (between the lodge and Montezuma). It was one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed at and we absolutely loved everything about it.

Great value for your travel dollar (or Colones) We loved staying there for the convenience to the local area yet privacy in the hills. We will return for a longer visit with our wonderful hosts, Brigette and Leon.The nights were alive with the sounds of animals and insects and a beautiful night sky. Apparently we are not unusual in turning off all thee lights and sitting on the deck at night.

Set right on the beach in Cabuya, on the beautiful Nicoya Peninsula, Calala Lodge offers a large outdoor pool and charming cabins surrounded by tropical gardens.

Hotel Aurora is the best place you can chose to stay while in Montezuma, the spacious room, the AC, and the fan, the amazing relax space, i.e. your own balcony - with a hammock and a wonderful view, the great option to use a kitchen facility, so you can prepare your own meal, this was simply an a m a z i n g stay! The whole atmosphere, the team super kind and helpful to answer every question or request with a huge warm smile! Thank you so much Hotel Aurora, for keeping this beautiful welcoming atmosphere! Me and my friends enjoyed very much the shared chill hammock area and met new friends while relaxing there I also really liked your library corner! Welcoming and friendly staff who cooked breakfast and dinner as we like it. The secluded location off the beaten track. As we were early in the season, we had the whole resort for ourselves (the staff left during the day and the night, which felt a bit strange during the first night as we wondered whether we were safe).
