Anna and Aiden were excellent hosts. The Lodge was clean, warm and comfortable. Cosy beds and fabulous hot showers!. Ample breakfast was provided with a delicious home cooked hot option. We were fortunate to have a car, but I believe the Lodge mini bus and the resort Shuttle services worked well for other guests. Great value for money, lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend. The staff is charming and made everything as easy as possible. The breakfast is very good. Also, I would like to point out that we had a problem with the bus and the owner came to pick us up and drove for half an hour to help us. In short, exceptional!

The owners were very kind and picked us up from the train station at late notice as we didn't have a car. They also dropped us off in town for some food and a trip to the local onsen, for which they gave us free tickets included with the stay. The cottage was very cosy and warm, we went in January and we're almost too hot! Perfect getaway.

The staff was really really nice to talk to and the idea of sharing the hostel with students wishing to learn english is great ! We talked with some of them and it was perfect : they had the occasion to practice their english and we could learn about japanese cultures, language, kanjis etc... The location of the hostel was perfect, near the accomodations and the gondola and there was everything we needed in the hostel. We spent a wonderful time there and we even made good friends :)
