Pieceful, beautifully mentained, quiet lodge. The manager is so friendly and helpful. It was a super personal and wonderful experience. There is no music ever, so it is always quiet even in the restaurant, which we loved so much. The food was delicious so was the breakfast.

This place was an absolute experience! The views were seriously breathtaking and most of all if you are looking to relax, connect with nature and have the best time disconnecting this is the ideal place. The food served was really delicious as well. Would recommend this 100% to anyone travelling solo or with a family.

The tree house was nestled amongst trees, private, clean, and beautifully presented. The hosts were wonderful, cooked us some lovely meals, showed us their amazing garden and were able to provide transport to key sights and the wholesale food market.

We had a great stay here. It was quiet and comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The hosts were very nice and always ready to help with transportation and tips on places to visit. The food was also really good. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful and pleasant stay.

The property was in great condition, very clean and well maintained. It’s located in the country side, so you get to see how locals live, however, it is a 5 minute drive to the Main Street of sigiriya making it a convenient location. The owner is a very polite and kind local, who takes you on tours through the countryside to see how locals live. I have never had someone be so willing to take us out without asking for money in return. He spent 7 hours driving us around to all the nice places in Sigiriya, and when we tried to give him a generous tip as a thank you, he declined the offer multiple times. He made our trip priceless and I would highly recommend staying here.

I had a very good time staying at Machcha. Kamal is a great host. :) The bungalow has two rooms with terrace in a beautiful garden. You can hear and see the birds and lay down in a hammock under the trees. The owner makes breakfast with love (fresh fruits, tea, avocado with toast/Roti, smoothie, egg). The location is perfect for exploring Sigiriya Lion Rock or have a day trip to Polonnaruwa. The nature is very nice. ;) Your host can help you with information about tours and what to explore around. It's also easy to connect with other travellers in the hostels around. The rooms are big, clean and very nice. With a big bed and A/C. The location was good and at the moment you step in you feel like in a botanical garden. Many beautiful plants, flowers, birds, parrots, monkeys, squirrels, it is like living inside the nature and we loved it. The room was extremely comfy and clean, the owner was attentively cared for all our needs. We also arranged transfer and Tuktuk with them on fair prices. The breakfast was delicious and had many variaties.

Beautiful clean cool rooms in the jungle, hardly a need for the fan even because the trees and plants keep the rooms so cool. Lovely friendly and helpful family, delicious breakfasts and dinners if you choose to eat there. I highly recommend the home cooked rice and curry, it’s so tasty and the mum will cook it as spicy as you like (I like it spicy and it was so yummy compared to the bland ‘tourist curry’ they serve in a lot of the restaurants in Sri Lanka’) The son even showed me around the area, it really felt like home. Highly recommend!

The place is family run. Very honest couple, very helpful and likeable. The breakfast is great, not far from lion rock and the main restaurants in Sigirya. Also, if you need to take the 06.30am bus to Kandy, it is very handy as the bus stop is literally five minutes away on the main road. I would definitely return and it is a very good value for money.
