Our stay at Fern Hill Cabins was absolutely unforgettable! The place itself is cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by incredible nature — perfect for couples looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Ella. But what made our experience truly special was the owner, Chathura. He is one of the kindest and most caring hosts we’ve ever met. He spent the whole day with us — took us to the zipline, to the waterfalls, and even helped us organize taxis and trips around the area. We felt like we were visiting a good friend, not just staying at a hotel. Thank you, Chathura, for your kindness and hospitality. You made our honeymoon truly memorable. ❤️

Tantra Ella Lodge is a very unique place close to city center of Ella in very peaceful and silent area. You feel like in the middle of the forest as everything you can hear after you wake up in the morning are birds, frogs and other animals. The view from terrace is beautiful and this place is nice for morning meditations as we did it. The owner is very kind person willing to help you with anything he could. We've met almost all family members - they are super honest and open hearted people. We felt and have been treated like a family members. So far this was the best accommodation service we've had in Sri lanka. This accomodation is new and the room is very nice, clean and comfortable. This experience was the biggest surprise for us and if we could, we would have stayed more nights. We stayed 2 nights only. Big huge THANK YOU!

the location was AMAZING!! just a few mins walk down to the nine arch bridge and THE VIEW!!! the room was reallt comfortable we slept so good even with the trains passing every few hours!! the 5 dollar breakfast was SO GOOD as well!

Everything was just perfect!! We have been there for 4 nights. Devaka and his family have been so nice and the food (breakfast & dinner) was really good. Devaka took us to a tea factory which was very interesting and also gave us a lot of helpful tips for the hikes and other stuff to do around. Room was small but had everything, also very confortable beds. The shower was also hot, what is very nice when it‘s a bit colder. The place was perfect, far away from the chaotic Ella but close enough to the train station. Thanks again to Devaka and his family. Highly recommended to stay there!!

The breakfast was amazing. We could choose from different menus, Sri Lankan and continental, and had everything we need. The Treehouse was perfectly decorated, had a great view and was very spacious. All the trees around gave us a real jungle feeling! The staff was amazing and helped us out with everything. The yoga class was easy to book and we enjoyed it very much, especially the view during the yoga session! We had our own Wi-Fi router in the villa so it worked without problems. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a great stay in Ella!

Very nice authentic lodges surrounded by trees. Extremely friendly staff who spoke good English. Option to dine „at home“ on the terrace. Interesting cookery class. Excellent day trip organised to traditional village and waterfall.

The Spice Lodge is a special place located within walking distance to Ella center. The family that runs the lodge are the kindest, most helpful people. The breakfast was delicious, and the dinner we had was the best curry we had on our trip. Highly recommended lodging.
