Taste of food (especially the meat) just better than what you get at home. It is a 20 min drive to the park entrance. With 12 lodges there is a sense of calmness and personal touch. The dinner buffet was very good (a lot of delicious salads, good choice, meats freshly barbecued). It was quite cold at dinner when we were there in July (unlike many other lodges, there is no roof over the open seating area) but the beautiful views (and blankets provided) still made it worthwhile to be outside. Great experience to see Rhinos, zebras, wildebeest while sitting at the balcony. Very well maintained and the best place to see the stars. Especially our guide Lucas was great, he knew a lot about history Namibia and about life in the desert, for example he found a very small hole in the sand and that seemed to be a white spider house.
