Beautiful place, 40 min to Sossusvlei. Very welcome reception, lovely staff . Clean and comfortable rooms. Fantastic sitting area with infinity pool overlooking the mountains. Had dinner watching the warthogs in the garden. Totally recommended!

If you have red any of the guide books about Namibia you have probably seen a picture of this place with its old cars. Famous place but still manages to keep reasonable prices and the staff are very nice. Well done.

Featuring air conditioning, Gondwana Namib Desert Lodge is located in Solitaire, 37 mi North of Sesriem. The lodge includes an outdoor pool and guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

This is a fabulously situated lodging next to the fossilized red dunes of the Namib desert. The gemsboks are attracted to the lodge and come in very close to its borders, allowing for optimum wildlife viewing and photography. The hikes around the lodge were very nice and there were many birds. The meals were very good and the staff are super friendly. The female chef was particularly charming and came out after each meal to see how we liked our food. There are two pools. A freak sandstorm with rain and thunder arrived suddenly one night at dinner and the staff quickly relocated diners from outside to safety inside and suggested we move our cars to avoid damage from overhanging branches. They were very kind and thoughtful.

Solitaire Mountain Lodge offers views of the Namib Desert and the Naukluft Mountains. It features 1 outdoor pool, a garden and a restaurant.

The lodge is conveniently located near Solitaire and served as our starting point for exploring Sossusvlei. It’s truly a beautiful oasis in the middle of the savannah, where the boundary between the wild and the lodge grounds practically disappears. The design of both the accommodations and the entire property is very authentic. Dinners and breakfasts were exceptionally delicious, and the staff was attentive and welcoming.

Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, BKZ Self-Catering is located in Solitaire and has accommodations with free WiFi.

Located on a desert reserve between Sesriem and Solitaire, Soft Adventure Camp offers chalet accommodations for nature enthusiasts, just 30 minutes drive away from Namib-Naukluft National Park.

Stunningly beautiful location and extremely cute tents. We also had a delicious dinner, served by one of the kindest waitresses we’ve ever had.

Located south of Solitaire, Namib Naukluft Lodge is set on the private Nam Nau Habitat. Backed by granite hills, the lodge offers an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant.

Stopped for the night on our way to Swakopmund. Room was nice and big for a family of 4. Excellent wifi and water pressure which is a huge plus for such an isolated place. Food at the lodge is also very good. From our verandar we were able to see animals roaming the plains and wildebeests drinking from the waterhole. Sunset rock on the property is also a nice spot to see the surrounding area and makes for great pics and viewing. The best part about the property is the way the staff treat and care for you during the stay. Only regret about this lodge is that we only stayed for a night.
