New ZealandEverything was amazing! Brand new, modern and impeccable clean facilities! They even have a well equiped guess lounge on the second floor for everyone to chill and enjoy the view! Mary was super kind and welcoming. She even kindly reminded us through booking.com that the restaurants in town would be really busy on the day we scheduled to arrive due to the Easter holiday which helped us plan ahead. It's super quite and dark at night so would be a perfect for stargazing place if it wasn't cloudy that night. Already looking forward to going back some time and having a proper stargazing experience there. Also FYI, they have some really cool "old-fashioned" airplanes in the same building! Mary was so kind and gave us a tour when we asked about it. This is honestly one of the best motels we ever stayed!

SwitzerlandWe (Swiss and Germany) met on the Abel Tasman Track in New Zealand in October 1988. We have never been back to the country since. Now, as retirees, we were able to realise our dream of another long trip. Skyscape was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! The view, the stars, the full moon, the cheese and sausage platter, it doesn't get any better than this! Thank you for the wonderful time and the memories we can take with us!

We ate in the main Lodge on two occasions with Luke, his wife Kaye and other guests which was very enjoyable. We attended a cooking demonstration with hufa which was excellent and was followed by a lovely lunch. Luke the owner was very prompt in coming to discuss all our concerns but couldn’t change anything, he offered the cooking demonstration and the opportunity to eat in the main lodge with him, which we accepted.Guest review byCatherineYoung couple

Room (given the rate) was more like a modern clean motel than a luxurious lodge. I fully appreciate what the owners are trying to do but it falls short on a global scale. Our hosts were very courteous. Dining again was pleasant but fell short of expectations. The food was above average but not excellent.
