Detailed Honest Review--- This hostel is obviously for people who took the bus & walking from Hidro & Also hiking to the ruins. It's 1 hour 30 mins from Hidro and 50 mins to Aguas Calientes from hostel. It's 30 mins to check point of Machu and I climbed up in 1 hour 15 mins( mix of stairs & walk where buses pass- recommend that, better scenery & little waterfalls to refresh). Beautiful pond behind the hostel, very quiet & comfortable. Best to avoid that shit town, Aguas Calientes. Breakfast is 20 soles, dinner is 25 soles & beer is 8 soles

We arrived after a 20km hike and were so tired. Wilder greeted us with such kindness and made himself very available and helpful. He made everything easy for us by offering us tea, helping us order food and organising our taxi for the thermal baths in Cocalmayo. The lodge is beautiful and peaceful. I've traveled a lot and this was my favourite accomodation so far: wish I could give 11/10 ! In the morning after breafkast we hung out in the hammacks and read to the sound of the river. I even saw two baby condors and a hummingbird in this magical place.
