A beautiful home away from home. Joyce and staff were exceptional hosts and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Matemwe Beach is tidal (kids loved the pool at these times) and much quieter than other more touristy beaches, and was just what we were after.

Our stay at Safaya Luxury Villas was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Every detail was carefully thought out, and we felt like we were staying in a true oasis of relaxation. The food was another highlight of our stay. Every meal we had was delicious, with a wide variety of options that left us more than satisfied. We had a really nice welcome, very kind and helpful staff and owner. The place is super clean and we slept very comfortably, it's nice and quiet. Great value for money.

It’s a good location close to the beach and restaurants. The lodge is beautiful with lawnchairs and lounges outside in a nice garden. Beachchairs available at 2 locations by the beach, only 5 min away. Breakfast was also great. Staff is very friendly and helpful, I enjoyed my stay a lot. Thank you!

Beautiful stay in Nungwi! Super clean, friendly, and full of good vibes. Basic accommodation, but the energy and vibe of this place are something else – all thanks to the lovely people. Staying is this hotel was beautiful experience - hotel is located at the very end of beach and gives an escape from bysy Kiwengwa beach. You can relax at hotel and have some fun at the beach - best of both. Infinity pool and view from it was best feature - no other hotel in Zanzibar has view like Shooting Star. Breakfast was good, staff was very welcoming and helpful. If you want peaceful stay, beautiful views and still be close to activities and local restaurants - this is the best hotel. One additional recommendation - when staying at this hotel - have dinner/lunch at Amour restaurant nearby - you will not regret it.

Inside and out all new Bangalow, built Dec 2022, grounds make shade for perfect breakfast outside, huge terrace for sitting. Host Rabia went above and beyond to make sure you got everything. Inside, you got fridge, fan, AC to cool down from sun heat. Located next to expensive hotels where you can sit and have drinks. Walk to the beach 5 min just across the road. 20 min walk to main street with local shops food etc. During low tide, go to near light house beach its best for chill in ocean, relax in shade of trees among big volcanic rocks. Not much people around as they stay inside hotels, very safe. You can buy fish and octopus from locals on the beach. Mango, watermelon is a must to eat all day so cheap and lots in February.
