United StatesOur favorite place we stayed in Alaska! It’s such a cute and thoughtful place to stay, just outside of the small town of Talkeetna.
There’s small touches, like robes, a gas fireplace, Netflix, artwork and coffee and mini fridge that make you feel really welcome and comfortable. We had a relaxing stay and will definitely go back if we’re in the area again.
Close to a brewery. There’s also a lake just down from the cottage.
The owners are lovely, helpful and welcoming people.

United StatesDave and Heather incredibly accommodating! The room was absolutely adorable nestled in the Alaskan Woods yet all the modern amenities. Although it was a shared bathroom outside the cabin it was very modern and clean. I would highly recommend Dave's if you're in the area.

Perfect location, homely common area with books and a TV etc, SUPER comfortable beds, cabins felt so cosy, fun Alaskan themed decor made it feel like a home and not just a hotel; the staff went out of their way to allow us to check in very late by leaving a friendly personalised note. When we arrived, however, after the designated check in time, we discovered our room was filthy and not even cleaned. They did move us to another room. There was no air conditioning and the room was very hot even with the fan provided. Staff was indifferent, food was very expensive. I received a phone call three different times from the lodge after I left stating I didn’t pay. I was able to retrieve my receipt from booking.com and prove otherwise.
