Lodges in Phong Nha

It's a peaceful and beautiful location in the countryside just five minutes away from the city. The room was clean and there was hot water available. Huy is extremely friendly and will cook you breakfast free of charge whenever you wake up. He also even helped me change my bus ticket to another day after I had already left the homestay two days ago. He gives great recommendations and offers scooter rental which worked flawlessly. Overall a great stay and excellent value for your money.

The hosting family were very welcoming and helpful, from ordering a taxi for us from the airport, cooking us late-ish dinner the evening we arrived (which involved delicious tofu with tomato sauce which made my husband, avid tofu-hater, admit it can taste good), pleasant breakfast, renting us scooters as well as recommending places to see around. The homestay is located in a small village, so there are other buildings nearby, but the "backyard" part offers lovely view of surrounding rice fields, you can sit in a nice gazebo there (where they'll even serve you dinner, if you choose so), and you can enjoy the calm nature vibes... If you dislike frog and cicada sounds though, you might be disappointed, as there's plenty of both in the fields. :-) The acommodation and the location gave us much more authentic vibes than many of Phong Nha acommodation options which seemed rather "touristy" - we loved that it was truly a homestay (as we saw some acommodations during our Vietnam trip calling themselves homestay but being a basically a normal hotel-style airbnb) and it added to our Vietnam experience significantly. We 100% recommend. :-)

Just wrapped up a stay at this homestay and wow, what an experience! The owner messaged us before about when and where we got off our bus and picked us up for free when we arrived! The room’s cozy charm paired with a stunning view makes it a perfect retreat. Not only was the space spotless, but the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, added so much value. Whether it was the delicious breakfast or the assistance with renting a scooter er lending one of their bikes for free, they truly went above and beyond. It’s a peaceful spot by the river that promises both relaxation and adventure. Can’t recommend it enough!
