It is a one bedroom house with plenty of space for two, just 5 min walk to the middle of town. Kangaroos and ducks on the front doorstep. The best we have stayed in in Halls Gap.

The bush setting is beautiful and the variety of birds that visit is amazing - waking to the sounds of bird song. The breakfast provided is generous and tasty. The decoration of the cottage is creative and thoughtful. The wood fire provides wonderful warmth throughout the whole cottage on a chilly night.

People are very friendly and helpful. We had a bit of drama after checked out, they helped us a lot. We had relax break from this short trip and for sure we will go back.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. We chose this establishment because it is so close to the Grampian Park and not in the middle of the crowded section. Their are two nice hikes close by and if you walk from the cottage the extra 2 miles add to the hikes themselves. The property was quiet, had some basics like oil and salt and pepper, cold water, coffee and tea. The chocolates were a nice touch. The town of Dunkel also provides a few nice options. We chose to buy groceries and eat our meals in the cottage. This gave us the feeling of home in our cozy little cottage. We made a fire each night and cooked out on the grill. The bed was comfortable, the spa tub was fabulous and the TV had Netflix. There was wildlife a few hundred yards away such as Kangaroos and Emus. This was the perfect place for us.

Halls Gap Lodges are 10 minutes’ walk from Grampians Adventure Golf, and 10 minutes’ drive from Halls Gap Zoo. Melbourne is a 3-hour drive away. This stunning place has become our yearly go to for our family holiday. The cabins are super large, very private and clean. Everything is child safe and friendly as well! The views of the mountains are exceptional, and there are so many native animals around the property!!! The kangaroos and deer are magical to see at dusk, and the cockatoos are such a laugh! A magical place for the whole family. We will be back many more times.
