Located in Mantanani Island, GreenHouse Lodge provides accommodation with access to a garden. The property boasts reusable plastic materials, using energy-saving lighting and conserving rainwater. From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved our stay here. If you're looking for a beautiful, eco-friendly retreat created and run by people who genuinely care about the environment, this is the place for you. Fred, the owner, built this Ecolodge himself with a clear mission: to be 100% sustainable. Every aspect of the property reflects that goal—everything is green, circular, and thoughtfully designed. The lodge is impressively clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The rooms are spacious, freshly renovated, and each comes with its own private bathroom. We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Oh, I was almost forgetting, both land and transport are organized by the Fred and Sook Peng and everything went super smooth! Terima kasih Fred and Sook Peng!

Hawun Valley Kiulu có bể sục và chỗ nghỉ cho khách được trang bị điều hòa tại Tamparuli, nằm cách Chợ Filipino Market Sabah 39 km, Likas City Mosque 34 km và Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village 39... Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan. This was a fantastic experience and stay - altogether. The attentiveness of Jason and the staff makes it feel like a 5 star hotel, whilst the location and rustic feel makes it feel like you are truly in the heart of the jungle. You fall asleep to a light breeze and the sounds of the jungle. My wife is pregnant and we were a bit worried about mosquito diseases - but Jason explained that the ridge at which the hotel is at has barely any mosquitoes because of the altitude. He also suggested a non deet mosquito spray that really works. We had 0 mosquito bites during our stay. I can’t get all the things into a review. But such a gem of a place. Thank all of you ❤️

Tidy & clean, with a decent restaurant on-site so not necessary to drive out to eat. Toiletries are sufficient. Thoughtful details in the room. Pleasantly surprised to find this in such a location.

I would give a score 20 if I could :) I found this place a bit by coincidence and I honestly could not have made a better choice for my stay at the Kinabatangan river. The lodge is near to the river and I felt relaxed and at ease from the first moment I arrived. The rooms have just been renovated and are good value for money. Don’t expect luxury - you are in the midst of the jungle after all - but they are really decent, clean and far better quality than previous jungle accommodations I had in other places. All the meals are included and you will get plenty of delicious fingerlicking homecooked food. I was welcomed with the greatest hospitality by Linda. She is such a lovely and passionate person and cares a whole lot about the lodge and her guests. She will absolutely go the extra mile to be sure that her guests have the greatest experience. I also met the owner of the place who is a very kind and respectful man. I loved the fact that this is a very warm and personalised experience where you get to know a few other people without ending up in a big group. As for the wildlife we saw plenty of beautiful birds, lots of proboscis (and other) monkeys, even orangutans and a mesmerising experience with elephants coming up close to the lodge. It was absolutely phenomenal and I can most certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit a bit of the jungle in Borneo.

The staff are cheerful and very friendly, available and caring for all travellers. Thank you so much for the few days I spent in your company, they were my best days in Malaysia! I'll be back to say hello every time I return to Malaysia. Thanks a lot for every maglami's members!

We had a wonderful stay at Tampat do Aman- Howard was so friendly and helpful, he showed us around and gave us recommendations what to do and where to eat( Inas café is really good). He cares about the local culture and environment and there is also a little museum about the people there( the Rungus) and their culture. We overall can really recommend staying there!

Nestled along the bank of the Kinabatangan River and tropical lush greenery, the Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort is an eco-resort located in the village of Bilit, Malaysia. Captain Rodel is wonderful. He guided us to see all kinds wild animals we expected. He is so experienced and born in nature. The overall organization is very good and clear. Staff friendly and helpful. We booked two rooms. To keep our family stay close, the upgraded us to a family room for free. The resort is beautiful and convenient for the river cruise (beside the river). Beautiful environment. The night walk was a very special and unforgettable experience. Thanks Rodel. Thanks everyone.
