This Sacré-Coeur property is next to the Saguenay Fjord and the boreal forest of Quebec. The non-smoking property offers comfortable cabins perched in the trees with a kitchenette and terrace. It was everything we would have expected and more. We stayed there on a clear night, no clouds, so we were also lucky to see a sky full of stars ! The owners are nice, they also offer restaurant service at night (much appreciated as there is not much choice over there) and we ate good pizza and could enjoy local beer. The breakfast included in our stay was good too, everything seemed home cooked. I would recommend it to my friends and family!

What a nice 2 night stay at Wakefield mill. We had 2 deluxe rooms in the main Mill building. The rooms were very comfortable, rustic and had lots of space. We had a lovely view over the river. We had lunch and dinner at the Heron bistro, the food was excellent. We had breakfast at the main restaurant and it was also excellent, with attention to presentation. The staff in general was very welcoming and friendly. The General Manager came to speak with us the first morning of our stay and recommended some local walks in Wakefield town. Two members of our party had a massage at the spa, which they thoroughly enjoyed. We didn't try the outside spa, however, it looked really welcoming by the river. The outdoors facilities are really nice, with the red Adirondack chairs and the gardens. We will absolutely return if we are in this area.
