From the moment we arrived at Kona Koa Lodge, we knew our stay was going to be something special. He was attentive and always available to help with anything we needed, from local tips to arranging transportation. His guidance made our stay both easy and enjoyable. The room itself was a highlight. Spacious and immaculately clean, it offered a tranquil retreat after days spent exploring the island. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the overall quietness of the location meant that every morning we woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the day's adventures. The lodge’s amenities and its serene setting contributed to a feeling of exclusive privacy and comfort. For anyone visiting Rapa Nui, I cannot recommend Kona Koa Lodge enough. Casa Wilson is an ocean front property offering both rooms and a cabin in Zapallar. There is direct beach access by coastal path, just a 3-minute walk. A beautiful old property (one of the oldest in Zapallar and full of eccentricities and antiques) in a stunning location. Right next to the protected peninsula (wonderful for exploring to hear and really feel the sea) and also to one of the best seafood restaurants in Chile, Chiringuitos. The owner is welcoming and full of stories about the history and surroundings. He organised a small boat trip to the nearby penguin island. The best sleep I had in Chile too, listening to the sea at night.

Having an outdoor verandah area was great - the garden will be lovely as it grows. Property is a very short walk from the airport - you won’t need a taxi. It is a nice 15 minute walk through the local residential streets to the restaurants and shops down town and on the waterfront.
