The walk to the accommodation is so worth it, you will be rewarded with the freshest chocolate you will ever eat and a view of the sea that is incomparable. The beds are extremely comfortable (the most comfortable I've had in 3 months in Colombia) and the view from the hostel is priceless! This is your place to relax, recharge, connect with nature. I can also recommend the cacao tour with Polo, he not only shows you the complete cacao process, but also how much passion and love goes into his project and all the different fruits & plants on his land! The food is also an absolute dream! Three evenings that felt more like a Michelin-starred restaurant than a hostel. Alvaro & Polo have a magical menu every evening, con mucho amor! ❤️ For all digital nomads: You have the best Starlink internet and can even work in heaven. :D

As someone who isn't in best terms with insects and boats, and as a woman travelling solo, I hesitated a lot before booking. But I'm so glad I decided to stay here in the end! Stunning location, great and friendly staff (including the dog), and well equipped eco lodge. The views were stunning and the food, delicious! Get ready cause, as mentioned by others, the boat ride can be tough. But it's totally worth it.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge by Mareygua is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. We had a wonderful stay here. The location is easy to reach. Wonderful staff. The views of the hotel is so magical, you are surrounded by forests. Included breakfast was tasty and filling, and they had vegan options. I wish we could stayed here more.

The room is your own haven with screened walls on some walls for a bug-free immersion into the forest. Very light/clean/airy! The night insects whistle at night, and you wake to the birds in the morning! The grounds are stunning and immaculate! They have lovely cats & dogs happily enjoying the property with you! Especially Mateo!:: ... They have the best customer service, handling all your needs, and they speak English and Spanish which can be a big plus for travelers! They sent their dogs with me for the back roads hike to beautiful waterfalls! The dogs led the way (pic attached!). Then when I came back, I tracked mud all over my floor. Carmen instantly arrived with a mop and cleaned my floor! Then I had a perfectly clean room again! 👍 .... I fell in love with Trompito, and the staff here mentioned a nice apartment down the road, which ended up being perfect for me, and now I will be neighbors to this lovely accommodations that offers you a unique and complete experience of a lifetime!

This is a beautiful house with outstanding Mountain Views. You can see the dedication of the owner on every detail. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. Premium mattress and linens, hot water, tasteful decorations and lots of small details. Yuca restaurant is a few steps away and we enjoyed great breakfast and dinners. Tayrona Park is 10 minutes walking distance.

If you're not going to stay in Tayrona National Park Colinas de Calabazo is one of the best options. The hosue is just 400 m away from the entrance to the park. Buses between Santa Marta and Palomino stops here. There are some shops (only basic products and slightly higher prices) and restaurants. The owener speaks Spanish and English, and he's a very friendly and helpful person. The house itself is located 200 m from the main road so it's calm and quite (the only noises are dogs barking at night and birds chirping in the morning). There are two or three guests rooms and the owner lives here as well. There's a small swimming pool (to cool down, not to swim) and rooftop terrace with tables and hammock - good place to rest after hiking. We got the only room on the 1st floor which was quite large and comfortable, the same with bathroom. Everytwhere was really clean. There's no kitchen available, but a breakfast is served every morning. Also, we asked for an electric kettle and we got one with two cups.
