The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and we even got to see the famous quetzal! In September, it did get a bit chilly at night, but we were perfectly comfortable with the provided heaters and cozy blankets. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy the peace of the mountains, and experience the magic of Costa Rica’s highlands.

Some units also have a kitchen equipped with a fridge, an oven, and a microwave. Incredibly beautiful view was so peaceful. Very comfortable bed. Hot shower. The staff were welcoming and kind. Definitely would stay again.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Very good experience. The hotel is somewhat remote (9km drive on unpaved road). Gilberth (the owner) is a very nice person. He really helped me when I got stuck driving a small FWD car, and prepared a very good breakfast. Highly recommended place to stay, but I would recommend driving a 4x4 in that area.

A balcony with garden views is offered in each unit. The location is beautiful but this type of accomodation is just not my thing. There is no electricity in the cabins, something that is not indicated clearly. No electricity means no hot water and when it's cold out, a hot shower is appreciated. The water was ice cold. I'm all for saving the planet but I'm not ready to trun into a cave woman.
