Lieke and Michael have a beautiful little lodge, with plenty of flora and fauna (we spent alot of time bird watching from our covered porch). The pool is even nicer than pictures and the temperature was perfect for cooling off. Food was excellent, and their included breakfasts were the best we had in CR (fruit and yogurt, great coffee, juice, tipico or pancake desayuno). We had our little girl there and she had a blast. With all the trees it felt very private, would go back in a heartbeat. The area is very quiet, which we loved, and tons of beaches.

I LOVE the attention of Agi and Guido, they went above and beyond my expectations! I am truly happy of having chosen Cabañas Cañas Castilla as our getaway place to recharge and end the year! Everything they prepared was so delicious. Agi even fixed my wife a really nice chicken soup as she was sick and it was not just a plate, but an entire pot of it! That she even ate it for three days! I had dinner one night and it felt like just eating at home, so good, clean and tasty! We will definitely come back soon. The location is excellent as it's just 10 minutes away from the town of La Cruz, so you are away from the busy town but close enough to get anything you need. Definitely a hidden gem to come back to whenever possible! 👌❤️

You may be lucky and have pool/jacuzzi all to yourselves like we did. Valerie was a lovely host.

There’s so much to like! A beautifully laid out property, beautifully landscaped. Everything was well maintained… Especially the relaxed atmosphere hit the mark… a friendly proprietor, and a hammock outside each door. just top notch in every way!
