Featuring an extensive garden, furnished terraces with natural pools and rainforest-mountains views, the eco-friendly Rancho Margot is 700 metres from Caño Negro River and 3 km from Arenal Lake. Rancho Margot is more than a hotel, it's a community and an sustainable project. For us it was truly an inspiring experience as we could witness first-hand the challenges and rewards that living off-the-grid entail. Rancho Margot's team has accomplished plenty like regenerating a portion of the forest and they invite you to learn about their sustainability practices through their tours and experiences. You can also just enjoy nature, take a hike or swim on their natural pools. It's secluded for a good reason, and we didn't have any reason to leave. We stayed 3 nights but would love to come back!
