Yes, you need a Kayak or a Lancha to get somewhere, but this is no big deal and there is enought to do around the hostel using those for more than 2 full days (e.g. Tiger Cave and Livingston). But you can also just relax since the view is stunning (especially the sunset). Additionally they offer food and drinks (and free water) for a very reasonable price and if you require anything they will try to help.
