We loved the incredibly delicious food (dinner and breakfast) and the great hospitality of the owner and his wife. Our room was pretty large and had all amenities you need, except an ensuite bathroom. The shared bathroom is clean, large and comfortable with showers and an onsen! If you're lucky you have the bathroom for yourself. Although we had a rental car we stayed nearby the pension to avoid the load of tourists on e.g. the Magome- Tsumago trail. Kaida is a pretty village from where you can hike. The waterfalls trail loop on the way to mount Ontake is beautiful and tranquil as is the whole area around mount Ontake. It's easy to spend 4 days at Kaoru!

The owner was really friendly and welcoming, and gave us many recommendations on where to eat or to visit. The place is really quiet and cozy, and the shared baths are amazing. The homemade breakfast was really good!

Cogimos solo una noche y lamentamos no haber estado allí más tiempo para poder disfrutar de todo lo que ofrece Chino y los dueños del establecimiento.

Shiga Kogen Lodge está ubicado en Yamanouchi, a 20 km de Parque de los Monos de Jigokudani, y tiene vista a la montaña, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratis. We loved everything - from the food, the onsen, the new sauna and especially the owners and Moko!

El alojamiento Pension Tomato se encuentra a 10 minutos en auto de la estación de esquí de Hakuba Happo-One Winter y ofrece habitaciones amplias de estilo occidental con zona de loft. We loved our stay at Pension Tomato. The host was really kind and picked us up from the train station in Hakuba. Along with this, when dropping us off after our stay, he stopped at the Yamato centre so we could send ski bags to the next accomodation, a huge help. We stayed in the 6 bunk lodge, fantastic. The amenities were very, very clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent. Spacious enough, with a nice area to relax in and kitchen bench to make easy meals. We also utilised the in-house onsens - a great choice as they were incredibly relaxing and peaceful after a ski, really clean and nice tranquil forest views. There are multiple, bookable for mixed or non-mixed onsens. The breakfast which you book the day before is great too. A few minutes walk from the main echoland strip and rental place for ski/snow gear. That’s where shuttles for Happo-One and Hakuba 47 stop too, so convenient to get to the mountains in the morning.

A 10 minutos a pie de Happo One Ski Resort, los huéspedes del Log Cottage Epoch pueden alquilar una casa entera. We honestly had the best stay here. A beautiful spot, lovely accommodation, you can walk to the lifts and very friendly hosts. As an aside, our 3 year old had an accident at an indoor playground nearby and Toshi and his wife went above and beyond to look after us and get us medical care for her and let us stay an extra night to make sure she was okay. Thank you very much!
