Amazing staff. Friendly and so helpful. Everyone spoke English. The rooms are clean. Breakfast was simple but nice. And the Onsen in the building was so nice. I highly recommend this place. They had storage for ski equipment and luggage as well. they even had free postcards which I used to mail some postcards back home.

The host is the best i ever met. He is a very nice gentleman that offer to drive us to place to eat and leisure. He picked us up at the train station and send us back the the train station on our last day. He even offered to stop at a place to take great photo of the mountain. He also make the best breakfast I ever eaten in Japan! No kidding!

Really enjoyed the location it’s right in the middle of Rutsutsu and niseko so we were able to choose based on conditions. Staff were great, Oka and Mami were both friendly, helpful, and overall wonderful folks.

Sato was a great host ,he gave a lot of useful information and even helped with transport back and forth from kutchan station, the room is comfortable and there's a free shuttle to the resort not too far from the lodge.

Great restaurant in the lodge! Very good food and very reasonable. Right by a bus stop so convenient if you're coming from Kutchan station, and there's also some other restaurants and cafes nearby. Easy to get to the Hilton skiing area from the lodge, and there were also some activities organised for New Years.

It is gorgeous. The lodge we booked was beautiful and large for the four of us. There was a snow field right before our lodge that we could play on. There was a well-equipped kitchen and the amenities were great.

With so much of Niseko now fancy new apartment buildings and hotels, Grandpapa is a welcome old-school style ski lodge. Super friendly / helpful staff, comfortable rooms / beds, and a free shuttle bus that gets you to the Hirafu Gondola for 8am. It's also less than 10mins walk from most of the Hirafu restaurants and bars (and 2 mins from the famous Fridge Bar), but on a nice quiet street, so you get the best of both worlds. Very reasonably priced too!

This was one of my favorite lodges I have stayed at! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great for getting to the slopes and around with the bus stop a few minutes away. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Niseko!

When I was looking, Niseko Ski Lodge Higashiyama was by far the cheapest place within walking distance to the ski lift (Banzai), from which you can get a free ride to the nearest lift ticket window (Hilton). They feed you an all you can eat breakfast that is filling, if not particularly exciting. Everyone is very nice.
