For us it was an amazing week that we did not expect the peace of the place, and the ease of getting around. Asela drove us to Kandy any time, we didn't know is was so close, and the drive so easy. It was actually nicer for us to be out of the city and Ascela took us around at a very low cost, we used messaging and always on time to meet us. Restaurants are interesting in town but we enjoyed eating at the home-stay because the food was very very good & healthy, such a beautiful place to look over the valley & their own vegetable & herb garden! We liked going on walks, magnificent views, and Asela actually gave us a little hiking tour! In Kandy, there are tourists like us- at Tedro we had privacy, but also felt part of the community when we took walks. There is a TV but we never used it. We will be back, some day, and we do recommend this precious experience to anyone that wants good food, good sleep (the bed is great, view is really nice) access to town& the sights. In fact, we ended up going on a longer excursion to Siguria with Asela as our driver! He kindly got us there and back safeley, and gave us a lot of space for personal privacy as we did our own exploring. He is a very good guide and his family - downstairs from the room & porches - is respectful.

Beautiful accommodation in the hills surrounding Kandy. Actually some of my Kandy highlights were the lazy mornings and afternoons spent here. Punya is very responsive including when our train arrived later than expected, past 10pm, and also helped us arrange onward travel. Ravi is great, and made us feel very at home. He is also an excellent chef! The breakfasts are delicious, and we had something a little different each day. Thank you!

Compact but very comfortable. Out door sitting areas, stoned carved seats and bath tubs, swings, tree house nets. Kids loved it. We loved the peaceful nature and the calm environment.

Disponibilizando um terraço e vista da montanha, Solitary Cottage Dunhinna localiza-se em Teldeniya, a 25 km de Estádio Internacional de Críquete de Pallekele e 38 km de Estádio Bogambara. I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The owner helped me on my way to Teldeniya from there I took a Tuktuk up in the hills. Solitary Cottage offers all you need: a quiet natural experience, birds and the sound of the wind. I managed to do some good hiking around without the need of a guide. The bungalow is well equipped and offers and fully equipped kitchen! Wifi works great. Make sure you order your food through the accommodation, it was close to the best authentic Sri Lankan food I ever tasted during my travels in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend this gorgeous place

The hotel is just 2km from Kandy city, with a scenic mountain road that offers stunning views of the surroundings. The hospitality was excellent, with the staff being friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, adding to the overall great experience. A perfect place for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views!
