Located in Dambulla in the Matale District region, with Popham's Arboretum nearby, Kandalama Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to an indoor swimming pool. What a fabulous oasis in Dambulla! The bungalow and outside bathrooms were so luxurious, a really treat and perfect start to our trip. What really made our stay was the staff, they even managed to get us cricket tickets to watch New Zealand vs Sri Lanka (my partners highlight). The staff made organising trips to Sigiriya Rock, Dambulla cave temples so easy, and Amil (tuk tuk driver) was always there to take us to the next place. Lastly the on-site restaurant and the chefs were amazing, we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here. We couldn’t recommend this place more!!

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the lodge, while cycling can be enjoyed nearby. Superb, nothing less. The service was excellent: e.g. the the breakfast was great, they arranged a driver (at a competitive price) for a trip, and they just had an eye for the small details that would make our stay worthwhile. Good shower and a comfortable bed. Sigiriya Rock is at walking distance.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Anil has been a fantastic host. He's very welcoming, funny, helpful and generous. He drove us to all places and cooked us with his wife delicious dinners at unbeatable prices. The breakfasts were also amazing. His place is nice and quiet, well located and the swimming is a great addition. Definitely recommended for a great experience in Sigiriya

A patio with mountain views is offered in all units. Clean room with stunning view of lions rock, great air conditioning. The breakfasts were delicious and different every morning. Had scooter or bike hire to get into town. The family were so lovely and cooked the best dinners. They even arranged a us a tuk tuk for a sunrise walk up Pidurangala Rock as well as a Safari. They also arranged us a drive to take us to our next location.
