Angelo is a great host, always helpful, always ready to give some tips about nice restaurants and activities in and around Ella. The room was very nice and had everything we needed, and the view from the balcony was stunning – giant squirrels and hornbills came to see us in the morning amongst the beautiful trees. The hotel itself is very close to the city center, but at the same time the little street where it is located is very peaceful. We would have stayed longer if we could!

This will be the best stay during your Sri Lanka trip. The most friendly hosts, they arranged everything for us without being pushy trying to sell their services. The breakfast was fantastic and served right on your balcony. The view is to die for and the balcony is perfectly suited to take it all in. Very clean and big room (it’s a lot better than the pictures show). We hope to come back here someday.

The cottage is super clean, has all you need even a mini bar and kettle, 5-star matras and pillows and soft bedlinen. The view is stunning and the surrounding is very peaceful. Ideal to unwind and relax. The homemade food is delicious and I highly recommend everyone to have your diner at home, made by Madusha. Lots of vegetables and fresh fruit. Breakfast is also amazing and every day it's different.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. That was the BEST EXPERIENCE we have ever had during the stay. The host and his family was kind, helpful in unbelievable way. They cared about us so much, they've been serving tea and other meals throughout the stay. Food was delicious, place was a bit far from the city centre which was an advantage taking into consideration the traffic in Ella. The host guided us in Tea Factory and took us for the sunrise trekking to ELLA Rock. If u ever have a change to come to Ella, you need to choose this one.

The staff also helped us immensely when we needed to take our son for medical attention. The only thing that was a bit misleading was they told us that they provide a tuk tuk for the local area. We assumed it was included… we assumed wrong and were charged a lot in addition. This was certainly not a deal breaker though - we loved it here. 11/10

The atmosphere and surroundings off this place is unbeatable. The family has done a fantastic job with the terasse with recliner chairs and dinner table all to enjoy the view. We had dinner here every night - it was the best we have had so far on our trip. Wonderful and so helpful family. We will have to come back to Yolo again .
