I really think this place should charge you more than they do right now. I didnt expect much before i arrive but it was a super clean room, full of sound of nature at night. Very nice balcony. Angelo was there at 4:45 am to bid a farewell and he was an exceptional host from the beginning. If you are travelling with a budget, dont even think twice and book Tantra Ella Lodge.

This will be the best stay during your Sri Lanka trip. The most friendly hosts, they arranged everything for us without being pushy trying to sell their services. The breakfast was fantastic and served right on your balcony. The view is to die for and the balcony is perfectly suited to take it all in. Very clean and big room (it’s a lot better than the pictures show). We hope to come back here someday.

The breakfast was fantastic! We even packed some food for the rest of the day. The host was lovely and helped us park and get around. Also, she was helpful with the tuk tuks. Definitely a place to come back to.

That was the BEST EXPERIENCE we have ever had during the stay. The host and his family was kind, helpful in unbelievable way. They cared about us so much, they've been serving tea and other meals throughout the stay. Food was delicious, place was a bit far from the city centre which was an advantage taking into consideration the traffic in Ella. The host guided us in Tea Factory and took us for the sunrise trekking to ELLA Rock. If u ever have a change to come to Ella, you need to choose this one.

This was the place I loved most on our trip!! I wholeheartedly and warmly recommend it. There’s a peace and quiet here that we didn’t experience anywhere else. I woke up in the morning and took a yoga class by the rice fields, under trees where monkeys jump and birds sing. We booked the cooking class (2 adults + 3 kids ages 3–8) — the food was the best we had in Sri Lanka!!! The hotel is a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride from the town center — close enough to get there easily, yet far enough to enjoy the tranquility and escape the noise and music from the restaurants. One of the staff members took him on a day trip to the Ella waterfalls. He was such a lovely guy — patient and a true gentleman. He guided us to waterfalls we probably wouldn’t have found on our own. The kids connected with him so much and had such a great time that they even wanted to invite him for ice cream afterwards. There were many more services the place offers that we didn’t get the chance to try. Ella is an amazing place to spend a few days, and this is a hotel I’d happily return to.

Waking up to the most breathtaking view and having a wonderful breakfast served was such a treat. The atmosphere and surroundings off this place is unbeatable. The family has done a fantastic job with the terasse with recliner chairs and dinner table all to enjoy the view. We had dinner here every night - it was the best we have had so far on our trip. Wonderful and so helpful family. We will have to come back to Yolo again .

Featuring a garden and free WiFi, Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center is situated in Ella, 3 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. We had an incredible stay at Arana Eco Lodge. The staff were so wonderful and accommodating! The facilities are beautifully decorated and very clean. I stayed there during my birthday which I had mentioned on my arrival and they made the day so special and got me a cake! Everything was genuinely so well considered from the yoga to breakfast every morning. We loved our stay so much and hope we can come back one day!

We contacted Kamal the day before, he arranged a driver who was amazing! Kamal was waiting for us to help with luggage. The rooms are big and has everything you need fridge, tea and coffee and so on! The breakfast is amazing we tried both local and western! Kamal always made sure we had tea and coffee and offered more food! He drove and collected us to the tea factory! The cooking class is done by his mother and sister and the experience was amazing! Highly recommend & we will be back.
