We had the most wonderful stay at Tantra Ella Lodge! Angelo is a great host, always helpful, always ready to give some tips about nice restaurants and activities in and around Ella. The room was very nice and had everything we needed, and the view from the balcony was stunning – giant squirrels and hornbills came to see us in the morning amongst the beautiful trees. The hotel itself is very close to the city center, but at the same time the little street where it is located is very peaceful. We would have stayed longer if we could!

Honestly this was the best place we have stayed since we came to Sri Lanka. The most beautiful views, wonderful and kind hosts who offered us fresh fruit juice upon arrival and helped with everything we needed. We were offered free tuk tuk lifts to and from Ella center. The breakfast was delicious. Clean and big room, comfortable bed and very nice mosquito net! There was even a kettle and an iron. I would definitely go back to this place. AMAZING

The room has a comfortable terrace with a kitchenette, which could be great for long stays - ask the host about the gas stove though. A lot of nature around. Great breakfast, efficient communication on WhatsApp.

Very beautiful location, middle of nature. We woke up with tea every morning watching the forest wake up and see all the animals Very delicious breakfast and diner. We had diner every night here Owner was so nice and helped us with everything. 10/10 would recommend.

This property is simply magical. Although it is a bit of a splurge, it’s definitely worth it. The retreat is super peaceful and the decor is lovely. Breakfast was great. Staff is super friendly. Location is also amazing, within a 5-10min walk from all the restaurants. We definitely recommend staying here!

Featuring a garden and free WiFi, Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center is situated in Ella, 3 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. The team of the hotel was amazing! The lodge situated inside the jungle, the house is super comfortable and well designed. The food was delicious, the best that we tried in Sri Lanka.

Cabins are specious, beautiful finished and very clean. We woke up every day to a sunrise which we could admire from our balcony of each cabin. The host is just exceptional! Delicious home cooked breakfast is delivered to your room every morning. We also took a cookery class at the property and were able to enjoy home cooked meal together! 10 out of 10!

We had an amazing experience with Kamal during our stay From the moment he picked us up, he went above and beyond to ensure our trip was special. Kamal guided us to Diyaluma Falls, and drove us to the Halpewatte Tea Factory, and.. He was incredibly kind, attentive to details, and always made sure we were comfortable. What really stood out was Kamal’s thoughtful planning—he shared invaluable tips to help us avoid crowds and enjoy peaceful moments at each destination. He patiently waited for us, gave us plenty of time to explore, and was never in a rush. His friendly attitude, local insights, and very reasonable pricing made the experience truly memorable. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Ella! At the same time he was not pushing us to anything we did not want to do! We also did the cooking class they offer which was also amazing local experience.

Located in Ohiya, surrounded by mountains in the Horton Plains Range, Hill Safari - Tea Estate Villa mainly serves Sri Lankan cuisine. We loved our stay at the Hill Safari. The views were spectacular, the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome and the room was everything we needed. The food was also delicious and they gave us many new year treats to try. They recommended some great walking routes, talking you through the route with a hand drawn map!
