The cottages at the back are really modern, spacious and comfortable. I can't speak of the bedrooms at the front of the property, only the cottages at the rear. Running hot water, good beds and kept very clean. Safaris can be arranged at a good price. The hosts are really friendly and very kind. The breakfast of fruits, local foods and coffee sets you up for the day. There is a good restaurant 50 metres to the left of the property (name I forget) Awesome place. Overall, a well deserved 10/10. We'll be back......

The rooms are simple and clean, set in a lush, green environment close to the safari. The place is absolutely beautiful — right in the middle of the jungle — and what makes it even more special is the kindness of the owners. Madhu gave us a wonderful cooking class; she’s an exceptional chef! The rice and curry were delicious, the Sri Lankan lunch was incredible, and even the safari picnic was perfect. This place is a true delight for the eyes, the heart, and the taste buds.

An amazing guest house with three rooms, and a large common area, located at the foot of dramatic and lush hill. We managed some very nice birding just sitting in the garden. A truly relaxing setting in nature. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the meals were delicious.

I booked this place at the last minute, after a complicated situation, and not only it was my savior, but it was also a true surprise. I've stayed in many residences, cottages, and hotels around the world, but here I left a piece of my heart. The well-maintained garden, the variety of birds chirping (you can literally go birdwatching in the garden), the clean rooms, the delicious food, and the hospitality of the staff. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay before a safari in Udawalawe. It’s underrated, go and experience it for yourself, and thank you again for everything!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Nature Glow Cottage. The family is so lovely. They helped me organize the safari tour, which was really great! The food there was incredible. And I got to olay badminton and Karam with their son, which was a beautiful experience. Thank you so much for everything!

This is a family-run lodge so it's not super fancy, but the hosts make you feel so welcome especially by cooking so so many dishes for breakfast and dinner. Easily the best home cooking I've had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are super nice, and the room has an amazing view on the river edge (as per the name), and you can swim in the river, which is nice. It is a close walk to Doranella entrance and the location is secluded from the main roads and village so it's great if you're looking for more privacy.
