He organised all sorts of things for me, including a great safari. We were almost completely alone there and were able to marvel at a family of elephants with a baby twice. He showed me local traditions and I really enjoyed him as a host. In the morning I was able to watch playing monkeys for hours in front of the terrace. It was really fun.

We also ordered dinner barbeque – great experience that we suggest. The host was very helpful – organising our safari and also helping to get to public bus t continue our trip to Weligama.

Situlpawwa is 15 km from the lodge, while Tissa Wewa is 19 km from the property. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 35 km away. Wadula Safari was amazing. We were greeted by the friendliest staff, taken for a walk around the jungle (where we saw monkeys, all kinds of birds, and lizards), and then served a delicious dinner. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with amenities like coffee, tea, powerful AC and a modern bathroom. They also arranged a wonderful safari with a guide, and helped us speak with and find our taxi driver.

With pool views, Tranquil Wild is located in Tanamalwila and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy darts on site, or cycling in the surroundings. Tranquil wild lived up to its name. It is right next to a lake with water buffalo in it. There are heaps of birds including peacocks and hornbills in the garden plus lots of monkeys, squirrels and lizards around. The garden is huge with mature trees and plenty of space. You can walk beside the lake and do a little exploring, really nice at sun rise or sunset. The swimming pool was excellent for a bit of relaxing. Anne and Amal were fantastic hosts answering all our questions and organizing our safari and other activities. I recommend having Amal on your safari. He is full of info and has a big camera lens to get those close ups the cellphones can't do. Their safaris go into block 5 and 6 which are a lot quieter ( in terms of jeep numbers) than the main Yala block 1. We saw elephants, crocodiles, monkeys, lots of birds, and 2 leopards. Also if you have the chance to have dinner and bonfire down by the lake shore then do it, we got lucky with a stunning night and full moon rising. The food, including breakfast was really good. If you are looking for somewhere to relax with nature then this is it.

For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. Great accomodation nearby the Yala National Park. The host organised the safari tour for us which was excellent (despite the heavy rain). Lunch and dinner were very good. The staff were attentive and responsive - I would definitely recommend staying here.

Really liked the ease of organising a safari with and from the lodge. The hospitality is great and kind.

Situated 14 km from Tissa Wewa, Yala Jungle Haven features accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The Owner was so helpful with everything! He knows the nature around him very well! We felt 100% safe and for every problem we had the owner had a solution! The beds were very comfortable and the area was so clean and nature oriented... Just amazing! The food was amazing!

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a Full English/Irish breakfast. It’s in the middle of nature, very calm and peaceful with only the sound of birds to hear. The best thing was the family. The hostel owner is super nice and helpful with any kind of little problem or question! I would 100% recommend it, I have rarely experienced such kindness without wanting anything in return! Also his little girl is the cutest!!
