We stayed in small house (not tent) and this place was surprising clean and comfortable! We needed place to rest before Safari in block 5 and 6 and it was a great choice! Thanamalvile is a small village, with local restaurants and shops and Thanamal-villa is located close to main roa, but behind it , there are calm fields and nature. The owner is so nice and hospitable! He took us even for short ride around the village- it was a great way to spending time there! You can also arrange safari with him easily! Room was simple but clean, there was a AC. Bathroom was small but had everything what you need. In the evening we could sit on the terrace and listen the peacocks voices. Thanks for everything!

The staff, ***especially Anne (owner) and Amal, were exceptional,they arranged a safari to Yala Block 6 (just 10 mins away!) where we spotted elephants and leopards. The **food was a highlight**: authentic Sri Lankan curries and Western options, all served in an open-air dining area. Don’t miss the **sunset boat ride on the lake**—pure magic! Clean, spacious rooms and a serene pool sealed our perfect stay. We’ll be back!"

Very nicely designed property with excellent management. Beautiful open space and garden views from every spot especially the dining pavillion where the food is exceptional. He knows the nature around him very well! We felt 100% safe and for every problem we had the owner had a solution! The beds were very comfortable and the area was so clean and nature oriented... Just amazing! The food was amazing!

Our hosts were a lovely family, very kind and helpful - they were very flexible with our check in and check out, organised a safari trip for us and helped us in getting dinner. The experience is totally recommended, however beware that it’s out in the nature, so you get really immersed in it, there might be some bugs in your room when you wake up ;) no worries though, each bed is equipped with a mosquito net, so you can sleep peacefully with sounds of nature.
