The rooms are very spacious and nicely designed. I really liked the garden and swimming pool area (very relaxing!). Casa Cactus Buenavista has a great location to explore places like Bacalar, Los Rapidos, Mahahual. Regarding food, the host can prepare it for you if you order in advance (it was so delicious!!!). You can also visit a local restaurant located few minutes on foot from Casa Cactus (there is also an option to have it delivered). Close to Casa Cactus there are also local shops with food, honey, souvenirs. Wifi signal was strong and available everywhere (not only in rooms). Jay and Sebastian are fantastic hosts. They took care of us so well. I felt like at home :) I truly recommend Casa Cactus Buenavista and will definitely go back when I am in Mexico again.

We loved our stay at Azul- everything from the tact and friendliness of the staff and owners, to the delicious breakfast and the location and views were fantastic! We really appreciated the small extra touches that make a big difference, like the free hat for guests, the cozy library in the kitchen that felt like a piece of my own home, and having drinking water available in the room. I couldn't believe the kitchen staff remembered exactly which fruits I wanted on my oatmeal after having asked for it once. Truly impeccable service and attention to detail. Will come back a hundred times.

A car rental service is available at the lodge. Pucte is an amazing chill and beautiful place. There are only three cabins looking at the lagoon. It is very calm and quiet, we spent ours swimming with our kids and just looking at the birds. The cabin is spacious and nice, beds are comfy. We loved the design. There is a coffee machine and a refrigerator which was super helpful since there is no restaurant. But you can get good food in the guest house next door. Bear in mind it is about a 10 min drive to the town which we did about twice a day, for food, groceries or attractions. The staff was super nice. We would definitely come again!

Also in front of cabañas theres a spot on the beach where everyone can rest and go in. Since restaurants own every part of the beach 😅 Theres also free bikes from the property I definitely come back and stay here again! Thanks

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the lodge. This location is Beautiful!!! The air conditioner was a welcomed sight! Cute set up in room. You get your own fridge and coffee maker. It’s truly perfect and super affordable. We felt so safe! Andrea was so helpful and answered my million questions. Truly one of my favorite places now! Tip tier! This was my first air bnb experience and I am so happy!

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. Beautiful sunset and loved kayaking on the lake. The staff were nice. Accomodating with my late check out, and the pizza was great. A little far from downtown but just depends what you need. I would stay again!

Chetumal International Airport is 37 km from the property. The room was super cute and spacious. The location on the lake was lovely. The breakfast was really nice and different each day which was nice. The staff was very nice, although we don’t speak very much Spanish we used google translate for the things we didn’t understand. But they were kind and helpful. Beautiful sunrises and the moon reflecting on the lake was beautiful.

Maya Chan Beach is 80 metres from the lodge. Chetumal International Airport is 148 km away. I would go there again for the fantastic location on the beach. It is a minimalist experience, close to nature and to things which are important in life. Don't go there if you look for a cheap alternative to a 5-star hotels - that won't work.
