Some units feature a terrace and / or a patio with sea or garden views. We had a fantastic time on Mantanani Island. Superb location, right on the beach, no other hotels in the area. We were spoiled by Fred's wife (owner) who is in charge of the food. As vegetarians, we could not find a better place! No other restaurants in the area tough. Kayaks and snorkeling gear available, which we recommend. Nice walk to the nearby village too. Swimming in the sea here is very nice, no strong currents. Transfer is well arranged. Pick up (early!) in your hotel in KK, boat is waiting to bring you to the island and visa versa.

There is a private bathroom with bidet in every unit, along with free toiletries, a hairdryer and slippers. This has become one of my favourite destinations during my trip to Sabah, Borneo. The moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the staff and were offered refreshments like tea, fruit and other nice sweets. The room was spacious and beautifully designed and it made me feel at home. I also appreciated that the staff already turned on the AC which made the arrival process even better. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful and wish we could have spent another night if it was up to my travel itinerary. Moreover, we were able to do our laundry here and the staff folded and ironed it without any surcharge, such kindness! The food was very good including both dinner and breakfast, it was like my grandma would have made it. Overall, I would come back here again if I am ever given the opportunity.

Jason and Gert are sharing a piece of the rainforest to help travelers experience wildlife, insects and plants in their natural habitat. Jason and Gert have created a safe and relaxing environment for all guests to experience true nature. The cabin has wood walls and floors - simple design and furnishings, and so comfortable. There are 2 chairs on the balcony, outside of each room, to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The daily schedule is designed for 2 nights, but we wanted some additional quiet time in the jungle so stayed for 4 nights. Jason made sure that we received different meals for lunch and dinner - he really works to make all meals special! The banana pancakes with homemade caramel sauce is phenomenal! The dining room (with ceiling fans) is also a place that you can hang out - have a coffee, read, play cards, visit and/or observe your surroundings. There is always a pitcher of cold and refreshing water waiting for you. There is a terrace off the dining room (no fans) with benches and small tables - great to look out over the landscape. We went on an amazing evening boat cruise every evening (included in the package). The optional sunrise river cruise starts at 5:30 am - beautiful and quiet (additional small fee). During our cruises, our guide/captain Rodel helped us find Pygmy elephants, crocodiles, hornbills, kingfishers, Silver Leaf monkeys, Proboscis monkeys and macaque monkeys. We absolutely loved our time on the Kinabatangan River! Jason, Gert and staff are so calm, friendly and informative. A once in a lifetime experience/place to enjoy nature and learn about/observe amazing Borneo animals in the wild!

The staff was excellent Mica and Ten did an excellent job spotting the wildlife and were very knowledgeable answering any questions about the animals in the area. Fantastic experience

Some accommodation includes a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with bidet. Not only was the view from the room amazing, but the lady checking us in and out was so kind and helpful.

The lodge offers a sun terrace. Just living on the water. No sand, no bugs, just simple wooden floor and tourquise sea beneath your feet. And the staff is just one of a kind. If you need anything, they are there to assist you. But if you want your mind to chill, they just let you be. No small talk, no pretended kindness, no hustle. Perfection.

Located in Kudat, Tampat do Aman provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a terrace and a restaurant.

If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a car rental service. Howard was so passionate and informative, he went above and beyond to make this a great stay for us. Nothing was too much trouble and his family were so welcoming and hospitable. The lodges are a great location in the jungle, but also a 25 minute walk to the beach. It's an interesting but also peaceful environment to spend a few days exploring the area. The beach walk recommend by Howard was amazing, it's like paradise!
