Peaceful location within nature and luxuriously comfortable. We stayed in the bungalow which was incredibly spacious and tastefully decked out. Much bigger than expected with a fantastic terrace overlooking the island - huge vista of mountains, forests etc. Sighted cute Duksy Leaf monkeys at play straight from the terrace. Everything worked perfectly. Ceiling fans and air con in every room, even ceiling fans on the terrace - amazing. The communal hang out with its hammocks and cool breeze and view of the pool was a chill place to lounge in too. Alif, the manager was so kind and helped us with scooters and booked us a Mangrove Tour. Wish we could’ve stayed here for our entire time in Langkawi but alas it was fully booked (unsurprisingly). Highly recommend.

Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. It is a 4-minute drive from Pantai Cenang, a 15-minute drive from Langkawi Airport and a 30-minute drive from Kuah Town. The room and location was relaxing and beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly, a very personalised service. The pool is beautiful, the two restaurants were lovely. Catch sunset at the Rimbo restaurant above the pool villas, it is unforgettable. Breakfast options were lovely.
