The stunning location of individual chalets amongst the rocks in the desert, the friendly, attentive staff, the excellent buffet dinner, the pool on the edge of the desert with enough loungers for everyone, the bean bags under a large rock above the pool, the sunsets over the desert. What an amazing place!

Located 8 metres from the canyon edge, the chalets at Fish River Lodge include a terrace, large windows and dry stone walls. They have a private bathroom with free toiletries. Beds can be placed outdoors for sleeping al fresco. Fantastic views and the food was amazing. The trip into the gorge was a long, bumpy one but a must do! Once down there is a natural pool where you can swim and the guide made a delicious lunch!

Activities at the lodge include game drives, walking, bird watching and 4x4 trails. the hotel is fantastic in a very remote location. very nice landscape, super food and a nice swimming pool. the staff and managers are also very friendly. We did the lion tracking with Nelson. Very nice experience. Thx to you Nelson we will be back

Great lodge and the perfect for our purpose of entering Mata Mata early the next morning . We enjoyed the views over the dry river beds, lots of birds and many ground squirrels

Very interesting historical place (old railway station converted to hotel). Nice location- not too far from quiver tree forest. Good for sleepover before continuing to Luderitz or Fish river canyon. There is a fireplace in the dining area, so it was nice and warm. Very nice dinner and breakfest.
