But once there, gosh! Peace. Except for the birds, the insects, Deon and Lidia's welcome, this is the life! Then the rooms. Glorious. No frilly gold plated stuff. Don't expect bling. Just comfort. Great views, spacious, great bathrooms. This is an ecolodge so no hairdriers or aircon. But they are not needed. Relax. Great food, proper hospitality, the night sky... worth it for nightjars and stars alone. And then the desert elephant safaris... just go there.

We spent two fantastic days in this mountain camp, surrounded by peaceful nature. A special thanks goes out to the chef Marysne who surprised us with delicious dinners out of nowhere. They have just taken over this place and we were last minute guests, nevertheless she could manage to put together amazing meals. Mongetti, our host, new in his role did a great job to welcome and look after us. The location is exceptional, nearby the touristic attractions, you need a car, organ pipes, burned mountains, Twyfelfontein site and elephant safari (strongly recommended, much less busy than etosha). At the back of the camp, on the top of the hill you can see a stunning sunset. I would definitely come back.
