Alli and Glynn have done an amazing job in making this place into such a beautiful accommodation. There is so much detail into making the hares nest as comfortable as possible. As soon as our little one walked through the door he was so excited that a bear was reading a book in ‘his bed’. We ordered the platter, I can highly suggest doing so, everything was super yummy. Alli went all out making cookies, bread, jam, chutney and more we would definitely rate hares nest a 10/10. Thanks again for having us.

Simply superb !! From start to finish this hotel / b&b was the highlight of our visit to NZ. A beautiful home with stunning views of the lake in Lake Taupo. The hosts are most gracious. The room was beautiful. Extremely large with a dressing area, balcony with a gorgeous view, jacuzzi bath tub and shower. Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully presented.

The Lodge is absolutely lovely, incredibly comfortable beds, spacious rooms, wonderful ensuite wiht bath tub that has views, grounds are beautiful. the entire team is freindly, helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. It's an elegant and refined choice with a personal touch thats not found in large hotels. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.

The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

The Chalet itself is beautiful, located in a quiet scenic area just outside of Taupo. Nina was a wonderful host, attended to our every need and had great recommendations. Breakfast was full, cook to order and everything fresh.

Our motel unit was very clean, with ample kitchen facilities and crockery. Loved the drawer dishwasher and the little balcony halfway up the stairs, which was very useful for drying our swimming gear! Spacious bathroom and lots of storage space in the bedroom and bathroom. Parking at the back of the unit. We enjoyed the spa and game facilities. The staff were all really friendly too.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River. The location was outstanding - gorgeous drive to the lodge. The grounds of the lodge were breathtaking and the chalets were absolutely perfect. Comfortable beds, super friendly staff. Had dinner in the lodge - it was fantastic - tasty and oh so good! Highly recommend both the lodge and restaurant.
