Offering mountain views, Pukaki Air Lodge in Twizel offers accommodation, barbecue facilities, a terrace and a shared lounge. Complimentary WiFi is available. Highly recommend! Room was spacious and clean, ceilings were high. The property grounds were beautiful, such a relaxing environment. Staff was very warm and kind and even had us help ourselves to an early breakfast since we were leaving before the official breakfast serving time. Only stayed a night for the close proximity to Mt Cook but would’ve booked more nights to enjoy the place if we’d known how great it is.

The respect they have for nature and the dark zone is truly tremendous. Even with clouds it was some of the best views of the Milky Way I have ever seen. The property was meticulously maintained and the amenities were exceptional.

Three Rivers Lodge is located off the southern banks of Lake Tekapo, in the shadow of New Zealand’s picturesque Southern Alps. The room and bathroom were lovely. It was nice to sit in the garden and admire the amazing view. We were welcomed and checked in by a delightful Chinese girl. A very comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep.
