Given the heat during our travel to get to Mangonui, the stay was healing and discreetly private (we were'nt isolated) We were within close proximity to our extended whanau too which was a plus. The views were sensational and the apartment was fabulous! We were extremely lucky to get fresh baked bread the first morning and the second morning we got home made crossaints. Both mornings we had fresh fruit, yoghurt and condiments. Such an awesome place to end our Honeymoon and 3.5 week trip around New Zealand.

Our hosts provided a personal experience for us in the Bay of Islands. The setting couldn’t have been more spectacular on the banks of the river, and our room was very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool each afternoon, following a day of exploring, and watched the moon rise each evening from the expansive deck. Breakfasts were delicious and prepared us for a day of activity. We appreciated every recommendation provided by Martin and Joelson. They definitely set the bar for the rest of our time in New Zealand. If you have the chance to stay here, we couldn’t recommend it more highly!
