I loved staying at Robbie’s Hut! It was cosy, had character and was spotlessly clean! The little cabin is quite small, but this adds to the appeal I believe. My partner and I were able to fit our suitcases under the bed if they were zipped open. I also loved that tea, coffee and hot chocolate was provided and even some little chocolates! However, the highlight for me was feeding the sheep! Robbie certainly is full of character and will make sure he gets all the food before any of the other sheep do 😀 Overall, loved our stay here and it was only a 10 or so minute drive into town!

Excellent location - nestled away from the main road and facing a beautiful vineyard. Communication with Liz was excellent all along the process. Unit was very clean and kitchen utensils and cookware were very cleanl. The heat source for the entire living area is a space heater/faux fireplace in the living room. For the most part, adequate heat was distributed. However, it might be good during colder months to have a separate space heater in the bedroom. Also, I should have read the property description a bit closer in that there is a washer but no dryer. We did resort to hanging wash on the line outside to dry and made it through okay!

This is a gem of a place. Elizabeth and Selwyn are gracious and attentive hosts. My husband and I LOVED this visit and had wished we booked two nights instead of one. Elizabeth offers her guests a dinner menu at extra cost which I highly recommend you take advantage of. She is an amazing cook! The property has fruit trees which Elizabeth makes her own jams and jellies for breakfast. Selwyn is courteous and engaging. We enjoyed having a complimentary cocktail with them and another couple from the UK. Although the weather did not provide us with a beautiful sunset that they are known for at the lodge, my husband and I enjoyed the hot tub viewing the ocean. I recommend you have Selwyn take you for a spin on his Argo on the beach and don't forget to give a donation to their Blue Penguin protection campaign that they support.

The room was airy with two separate sliding doors giving access to the garden and decks with tables and chairs for dining outdoors. The room got the morning sun. The bathroom was spacious, and two glass walls of the shower opened right up. The breakfast was laid out for the guests from 8 to 9am, and included mostly breads and sugary things and dairy, which is typical for European breakfasts. I don't eat sugar or dairy, but managed to find enough: boiled eggs, fresh fruit and cold cuts.
