The rooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated - they seem also very new overall. The food was very good and exactly what we needed after the hike to the location! At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot spring bath. It‘s location above the river, the abundance of flowers and fruit trees and the architecture of natural stones which is nestled into the rocks and hangs of the canyon is simply stunning. There are hotsprings, not the iconic baths next to the river, but a more private and calm space up the hill underneath banana trees. The staff was really nice and helpful, dinner and breakfast good!

Cabanaconde can be reached in 3 hours, by foot, horse or mule only. Our stay here was absolutely incredible. Our room had the most magnificent view, everything was clean, the pool and the grounds were immaculately maintained. This place was the highlight of our trip. When you realize that each piece of furniture and material had to brought down the canyon manually one by one, you really appreciate all the amenities that you have. Just incredible.

The pools are set along the riverside and are strictly for the exclusive use of registered guests. The lodge is well-regarded for offering an authentic and natural experience in a truly unique setting. The team welcomed us very warmly. We told them that our hiking shoes broke completely beyond repair during the hike to Llahuar and the owner was very committed in helping us - he made it possible that our larger backpack that we stored in Cabanaconde was brought to the lodge so we can retrieve other shoes for the resting hiking days. Beautiful place, good food, welcoming vibe!
